Whitewater River Rafting Trips

Our half day Whitewater Rafting trips are an adventure for the whole family.

 

We offer both a challenging whitewater trip through the “The Race Course” and a milder lower gorge Whitewater Rafting Trip perfect for families who want a river experience to remember. Both trips show you incredible scenery that only rafting the Rio Grande River can provide.

Half Day Tours

 

The Race Course is rated Class III “Medium Difficulty”
Lots of thrills and excitement for the family.
Approximately 5 miles, lasting 3 + hours

 

Rate: $60.00 Adult
           $50.00 Kids (ages 5-12)
           Raft carries 5 people + guide

The Lower Gorge is a great float trip that combines smoother flowing water and exciting rapids. A good choice for families who want a thrill!

All trips include: Rafting equipment, boat, life jacket, paddle, wet suit, booties, dry bag, return shuttle, and experienced, knowledgeable river guide.

 

What to bring: Hat, sunscreen, water bottle, quick dry clothes (wear bathing suit on hot days), tennis shoes or sandals with heel straps.

 

Depart Times: 9:00 am and 1:30 pm

 

Location: 20 minutes south of Taos on HWY 68 at Junction 570
The Rio Grande Visitor Center in Pilar, NM
(on left as you drive south out of Taos)

Yes, it’s safe. We carry a dry bag for your keys, watches, billfolds, small cameras, etc.
Space is limited so please leave big items and cell phones locked in your car. No coolers.
